As I'm living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the moment, the first posts will be entirely dedicated to Rio and it's beauties.

Before I start feeding you with bigger displays of Rio de Janeiro's graffiti artists, styles and murals, here's a teaser.

This 20m mural is in Santa Teresa, an artisty neighbourhood on the hills of Rio de Janeiro. I thought I'd put it up first, because there's such a nice variety of styles.

This blog is one of my new projects for the year 2007.

I'm a Helsinki based finnish free-lance journalist/photographer living in Rio de Janeiro at the moment.

Among other shit, I've been photographing all kinds of inspiring street art and graffitti at home in Helsinki and also travelling around the world. For quite a while now I've had the idea of putting up a site, showing all this great art that's making our grey cities a bit more colorful.

My intention is to supply you with freaquent photo displays of the best street art and graffitti I see going around. I'll start off with some nice stuff from Rio and then at some point do some "flashback" posts from years past (including photos from at least Buenos Aires, Chile, Berlin and Helsinki). Hopefully I'll be also able to offer some interviews of graffitti and street artists.

So this blog goes out to all the painters and street artists of the world. And of course for all of us who enjoy their work on the streets.
